Benton had tubes put in on Thursday. It should help quite a bit - though it is bringing back a lot of memories (drops in the ears, silly putty during baths). He has taken an interest in the profession (at least for a day or two) and took it out on those patient cats.... get it? patient...

Benton's first painting... gone bad.

Benton came and visited the studio today. He wanted to paint and who am I to turn him down right? All went well until it was time to give up the brush... You can tell from the pix that it looks like he got shot in the head with paint. Luckily we were able to get it right off, but Ben does have his first finished painting... Way to go B-Rock.

Last week Julia went painting with Gary and myself. She had been wanting to for a while and we were thrilled to have her finally join us. She produced two paintings, both fantastic as they were done en plein air. She entered the first one into a competition where it sold! (no shock to either Gary or myself). Maybe she'll keep this up and I can quit my job...

This owl showed up for a day and entertained us til dark. Rem is still talking about it. I thought it was fake when I first saw it, you know, a spy camera spying on us or something like that. Very sneaky if you ask me...

We got the kids two kittens and boy do they adore them. Ben loves 'em so much that they flee for shelter when he comes in the room.
